Printable cards with coping strategies for children.

Cut out these cards and keep them handy! Each card has a helpful thought or coping strategy you can use when you're feeling worried or upset.

Card 1: Take a Breath

When I feel worried, I can: • Breathe in slowly for 4 counts • Hold for 2 counts • Breathe out slowly for 6 counts • Repeat 3 times

Card 2: Talk Back to Worry

When Worry says something scary, I can ask: • Is this definitely true? • What would I tell a friend? • What's the most likely thing to happen?

Card 3: Be Brave

Feeling scared doesn't mean something bad will happen. I can do hard things even when I'm scared. Every time I try, I get braver!

Card 4: Get Help

It's okay to ask for help! People who can help me: (Write names here)
